Maths

This week in maths we did many different things I found most of them pretty easy but some were a little harder.I enjoyed Maths this week.

Reading

This week in reading I did so much and we got our rotations going fully I was happy about that! In reading I found doing some of the activities a little hard but other than that everything was pretty easy.Reading is my favorite activity!

Writing

I was away some of the week and didn’t do much writing unfortunately.

Other

In rotations this week I went to room 10 and we practiced my group's integrity game it was really fun we will be doing it with the Rata team kids today yay!

My Reflection.

Maths:

This week in Maths we did various things I really enjoyed Maths this week more than usual.I found most things pretty easy.

Writing:

This week in writing we have been finishing off on our similes learning I found making up ideas for them pretty hard but I get the concept of them.

Reading:

This week in reading I did hand writing which I found easy we also started our weekly spelling.

Reflection 10/03/17.

Maths:

This week in maths we did heaps of really cool stuff.The learning we did down on the mat was a little bit hard at first but it gradually got easier till I thought I was a pro.Maths was pretty fun this week!

Reading:

This week in Reading we sat down in the circle and read a story in our group I found a few of the questions that Mr Gemmell asked me but I got through it and in the end it made way more sense.

Other:

This week we pretty much finished our swimming season up I thought I did really well this season and I am super proud of myself.

Writing:

This week in writing we didn’t do to much but the things we did talk about I found ok.

For the last couple of weeks we have been practicing doing things with rhythm each class we did a different rhythm/tempo/pitch. (The musical elements) I'm in room 8 and we did tempo fast and slow It was really fun my friend Amy was our conductor yay!Then the whole team did all our rhythms together we were also chanting ''integrity doing the right thing when no ones watching"Rm 10 had drums Rm 9 had shakers and Rm 8 had rako sticks.

Hi I'm Emily and this year  I am a year 6.  I want to improve in all subjects, so far I have taken on opportunities such as Librarian,sport shed monitor and Rainy day.This term we are focusing on swimming, my goal is to really improve my swimming skills!

Kaikatia Assembly.

                                                         KAIKATIA ASSEMBLY

We had to practice a song (waita) we had to work really hard I really enjoyed singing up and just doing it we had lots of practice the song we sang was the one we learnt at our noho trip it was great I tried so hard to stay in tune.When we practice as a team in the hall as a part of our team time I was really exited to preform and show everyone my friends and my singing I knew we were going to be absolutely amazing but sadly that didn't happen with me as I sadly couldn't be there due to broken arm but i am sure that they all did very well.at lest I got to join in a little bit.In the song there were three verses and I got some of the words I quickly gains progress in all the words and slowly got way way better and now I can do it with no words.

Inquiry Moonlight

                   Overall
                My question is  what is moonlight and is it effected by different times of the year
                    What I thought about the process:It was awesome it was great learning about new                         things I loved making the models and it was awesome to finally make an actual                           movie on movie maker it took a while to get it right though!Altogether it was a                          great experience and I would do it again.But let me say that It was pretty hard to                        make the models in two weeks!

               Models
               For the model I used paint,card,wire,Styrofoam balls and glitter!                                                      
               It was great to use different materials and express my creativity in lots of different                        ways.

                   

            Movies
          For the Movie I got random pictures of the web and put them on movie maker I also got             some nice music from a friend.

         I loved being able to make a movie with out help!

Proud moment Term 1

My proud moment for term 1 was going to the Noho trip as I had never been on one beafore I loved this experience and i was very proud.

Hi the years going fast and I want to make the most of it this term my goals are achieve list O and I also really to learn a bit more about hockey in these past two weeks we have been doing practice. Thanks -Emily :)  

                                                                       TRIATHLON
                       At the triathlon we all started of on the side field we had to run around the block,do 2                          laps of the rugby field across the road then we had to do 5 laps of the pool I was very                            tired after all of it, but of coarse it was lots of fun.The run was quite hard but I got                                through it.It was hard because I don't run around the block when other people probably
